ABOUT MATT

MATT PACHECO (Born May 6, 1992 in Meriden, CT) is a classically trained pianist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, composer, producer & also the founder of Audioasis Music.

While growing up, Matt had a love for exploring nature, playing outside with the neighbors, banging gibberish on the home piano, and overall was lucky enough to have a childhood where he was free to imagine.  His parents noticed his musical interests and he was able to study the piano for 20+ years under his teacher Leena Kareoja-Crothers, founder of the Suzuki Piano Program at the Neighborhood Music School in New Haven CT.

All of these life events shaped his creative & songwriting discipline

At age 8 he played piano for his 2nd grade classroom, citing the piece "Ecossaise" by J. Hummel from memory and in the years following, wowing his peers with the "Pirates of the Caribbean" theme became his go-to when there was a piano nearby.

Matt was always a skinny kid.  So he joined a strength-training program at a gym in late middle school and out of all places it was there he discovered his love for rock music.  The gym would play Led Zeppelin's "Led Zeppelin II" on repeat and he fell in love.  The bluesy, jammy nature of the elements in the music struck a note in his core.  It was also during this time Matt began writing his own songs on piano & on the computer.  That in itself was a freedom and joy that felt different and it was in these special moments he knew this would be a lifelong pursuit, unbeknownst to how it would take form.

He unintentionally wrote his first album on Finale Notepad music software at age sixteen. They were 20 1-minute long songs -- 1 minute each because he couldn't figure out how to extend the length of a project -- so the songs were forced to end at a minute, or 32 measures.  He wrote them all during sleepovers at his cousins' house.

Matt attended Quinnipiac University where during this time he experienced the longest stretch of being away from a piano. Guitar, bass, ukulele, and a loop pedal became his new best friends.  He formed the band JUICE in 2013 with guitarist Connor Croteau & vocalist Tyler Small, and also acted as a backing pianist for the Quinnipiac Men & Women's Choir.

After college, Matt would frequent piano entertainment for weddings, restaurants, bars -- often playing out in the local CT scene at night.  At this time he began to take his original music more seriously and pursued songwriting and music production. He cites The Beatles, Zero 7, Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays, Led Zeppelin, RHCP, Redding Hunter, John Williams & video-game composer Koji Kondo as some of his biggest influences.

Matt released his first self-produced, singer-songwriter album "Emanation" in 2018 and from there has released 17 albums between 2018-2024.  All of his music comes through in many different forms -- from ambient, to soundtrack, to singer-songwriter, pop, funk, psychedelia, rock -- but at the core remains honesty, fun, authenticity, vibe & imagination.  To Matt, these things all sum up to love.  It is these central values that will always be present in the music.

Currently, Matt collaborates often with guitarist & songwriter Nate Kristan & beat-maker Joe King (The Jester).  He recently just finished up his latest album "By My Side," a signature fusion of melody, groove, and rich instrumentation -- brought to life through an incredible line up of musicians

In 2023 he composed the soundtrack for Blind Harpy's "Cyclopes of the Ether" video-game soundtrack, soon to be released. In 2024 he also released the "Candyland Suite," consisting of music for all the characters & places of the board game "Candyland."  Matt also composes production music for TV (MTV's Catfish) & Film with placements in Television & Radio around the world and music directs theatre at the local Golden Fox Production Company.

Matt founded Audioasis Music in 2023 -- a musical entity to represent all of his music. Music is one of the many sacred sciences existing here on Earth.  It is connected to math, geometry, physics, spirituality, and much more. One of Matt's missions here is to bring forth an Audioasis of music.  An oasis of audio where music and soul intertwine.  When you listen, the music will immerse you there

The Story is Timeless, the Vision is Infinite, and the Music is Endless.
